Peacefully at home on 17th December 2025, aged 82 years. Dearly beloved wife of the late Jimmy. Much loved mam of Deborah and Ian and Linda and Ian, a devoted grandma of Melissa, Jonathan, Katie, Summer and Glen and a much loved friend to many.

Friends please meet for service and cremation at Mountsett Crematorium on Wednesday 7th January at 11.45am. All are welcome afterwards to Crawcrook Social Club. Family flowers only please, donations for West Gateshead District Nurses Charitable Fund and Macmillan Cancer Support may be sent c/o

My son and I met Jean and Jimmy 24 years ago in Portugal. We became friends immediately and kept in touch when we got home. We visited them in Newcastle and became very close. Jean was a very special friend to me and she always felt like a mum to me. She was one of the kindest and most loving people I’ve ever met and I treasured our friendship. We also laughed a lot together and had a mutual love of animals. Rest peacefully my lovely Jean. Night night hinny 🩷🧚‍♀️🌈
